Varolo Background
Absolutely not.
Varolo is completely free.
You will never be asked to spend any money
ever!
It is simple.
Advertisers want you to watch commercials and other advertisements.
They pay for that today whenever you watch television, listen to the radio, read a newspaper, see a billboard, or any of dozens of other methods.
These traditional advertising methods are not nearly as effective as they once were.
TV's now have DVR's which allow people to fast forward over commercials.
Radios have been replaced with MP3 players.
Newspapers have been replaced with the Internet.
Varolo gives you the opportunity to watch commercials and ads and you get compensated.
The first method of compensation is through the Varolo Jackpot.
Each ad you watch enters you to win the weekly jackpot.
The size of the jackpot changes based on the number of active Varolo users and the number of ads they watch weekly.
The more people and ads watched, the larger the jackpot is!
The second method of compensation is through the Varolo Village.
The Varolo Village is simply you, and your friends you have invited to use Varolo for up to 4 degrees of separation.
In other words, your village includes all the people you invite (one degree of separation), all the people they invite (two degrees of separation), all the people they invite (3 degrees of separation), and all the people they invite (4 degrees of separation).
Your village earns money for you that you can claim by watching advertisements yourself.
As you can see, participation is required to earn money.
You receive a percentage of the revenue from the ads watched by your entire village.
You can invite as many people as you want and you can get paid on a regular basis.
Use the online calculator to see how much money you can make through the Varolo village.
Yes.
Varolo prides itself on consumer privacy.
While information must be collected to allow advertisers to offer relevant ads to you, advertisers are not allowed to ever see your private information.
This information is stored and managed in accordance with state and federal data privacy laws.
Easy.
First each ad you watch enters you to win the weekly jackpot.
Second, your village generates money that you can claim through watching ads yourself.
You can earn a percentage of the money paid by advertisers on each ad your Varolo Village watches.
Your Varolo Village includes those people you sponsor, and those they sponsor and so forth up to 4 degrees of separation.
You will always know how much money your village has earned and how many ads you need to watch to claim it.
The larger your village is, the more money you can make.
You can grow your village by inviting friends to also use Varolo.
They can also win the weekly jackpot as well as build their own village.
The best part is, as they grow their village, your village is growing as well and you earn money on all their friends, and their friends and their friends!
There is nothing that requires you to login to Varolo every day.
Each week, a number of ads must be viewed by you to claim 100% of your village earnings.
If you watch one half of the ads queued for you, you will get 50% of your village earnings.
If you watch 90%, you will get 90% of your village earnings.
Here is the key.
Many advertisers may only be willing to show you ads once a day or only at certain times of the day.
If you wait until the end of the week and expect to be able to watch all your ads, you may be out of luck.
There may not be enough ads to claim 100% of your village earnings.
If you use Varolo consistently throughout the week, you will have the best opportunity to claim 100% of your village earnings.
Advertisers use Varolo because they can use your profile information to send you meaningful relevant ads.
You can also use the "current interests" window to specify things you are interested in right now.
If advertisers have products or services that match those interests, they can present those ads, promotions, information and coupons to you.
Varolo also ensures that users are watching the ads by requiring users to enter a code or interact with the system at the end of each message.
This ensures that advertisers are getting the audience they want and that they are watching the messages.
The Varolo system offers advertisers features and capabilities that are not available on any other advertising platform in the world!
There are a variety of methods used to ensure users are watching the ads.
One way is by using CAPTCHA.
Most users have seen these before where a picture that includes letters or words is presented on the screen and you have to type in what you see.
This reduces fraud as well as ensures the user is present.
The CAPTCHA or other validation option becomes available at the end of the ad and goes away after several seconds.
If the user doesn't enter the code, the system assumes they weren't present and waits for them to play the ad again, or go to the next ad.
If you missed the window to type in the validation code you can replay the ad and then type in the code or you can simply go onto the next ad.
If you don't type in the validation code, the advertiser doesn't pay for the ad and you don't get credit for the ad both in terms as a jackpot entry and to contribute to the village.
You must be at least 13 years old to join Varolo. Children 12 and younger are not allowed to join Varolo.
No.
We do not sell anything.
We do not require membership of any kind.
You will never pay anything for using Varolo.
No.
We simply provide a free service that compensates Varolo users directly for watching advertiser messages and helping promote the service.
At this time, only individuals can be members of Varolo (although those individuals can choose to have their earnings income be reported through an entity rather than personally). We are looking into ways that charities, non-profits and schools can be registered and earn for those that they sponsor, but at this time, registration is limited to individuals.
This is not a glitch. Advertisers can choose the frequency they show an ad to consumers. Sometimes they choose to not have a limit. If you think about it, it is really no different from watching television. In 30 minutes, you have seen the same commercial several times, we just don't have a television program between them. Because Varolo always plays the most expensive ad first (which benefits all villagers), if that advertiser wants to show you their message several times, you will see it several times.
Remember, you are not getting paid to watch commercials. Watching commercials allows you to claim your village earnings when those in your village watch ads. But yes, you receive credit for each and every ad you watch...even if it is a repeat. You can verify this by watching the number of jackpot entries increase, points increase, and ads viewed increase.
The Village
Varolo uses what we call a “3×6+” model. Let me describe how it works. Each user gets 3 positions directly under them. Each of those users gets 3 positions as well and so forth. After you register in Varolo, you have these 3 open slots under you. So you invite 2 people, which go on your first degree of separation (level) filling 2 of your 3 available spots. Then your sponsor recruits someone else and if they don’t have any more spots available directly under them, their new recruit is forced into your 3rd spot. Essentially this model means that people above you are forced to place people in your village as they continue to grow their village. You are required to place people into the villages of those you have sponsored ,which helps them grow a village, but is also helping you grow your village. So everyone is forced to help everyone else build their village.
But as many people know, a traditional forced matrix creates a “cap” on your earnings. This is because rather than having an unlimited number of potential people on your first degree of separation, you can only have 3. So at level 1 you can have up to 3 people. Each of those 3 can have 3 people as well, so your level 2 can have up to 9. Level 3 is 27 people max and so on. Your 6th degree of separation can have up to 729 people and if you add up all the levels together you can have a village of up to 1092.
So this is why we call it a 3×6+. The “+” is very important because once the first 4 levels of your village get filled (that is all 3 of your first level, all 9 of your second, all 27 of your third, and all 81 of your fourth), you get 3 more spots directly under you to fill. Those in your village will continue to fill out the rest of your 5th and 6th levels as they grow their villages while you expand to having 3 more positions directly below you to fill. Once the first four levels of those spots are all taken, you get another 3 positions. This continues infinitely. There is no limit on how many times you can add more positions. So this model continues to reward those that go “gang busters” on building their village. PLUS their villagers are getting their villages built by you and others so they get more excited about Varolo. They stay engaged and recruit more heavily themselves. This helps everyone!
You are paid a flat 5% on any ad watched by anyone in your village. That includes across all 6 levels of separation. So it doesn’t matter if you sponsor someone, if they sponsor someone else, you get paid a flat 5% on everyone in your village no matter who they are, where they are, or who invited them to Varolo. This will result in much higher payouts for Varolo users.
When a new user begins using Varolo, they will not have a village.
A village is built by inviting friends to use Varolo.
The more people you invite, the more will join.
When they join, they will in turn invite friends who invite friends who also invite friends.
Users can build their Varolo Villages through email invitations, word of mouth, SMS text, and many other ways.
One of the most effective ways is to post messages on your social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace, and others.
You can send messages to friends and family within your social networking sites.
Remember to tell them it is totally free and they can earn real money through their village and each ad they watch enters them to win the weekly jackpot.
The faster your village grows, the more money you can make!
The system will show you how many ads you need to watch to claim all the earnings from your Varolo Village.
An indicator bar is also on the screen showing what percent of those weekly ads you have watched, and how much you have already claimed.
The number of ads you need to watch to claim the earnings from your village could vary each week depending upon the advertisements that are queued up for you.
Some people are surprised when they see their weekly claimed amount go up automatically.
This is natural and supposed to happen in this way.
Here is an example.
Your Varolo Village has 11,000 people in it.
On Monday, you login and watch ads which take your weekly claim meter to 10%.
This means you have watched 10% of the ads you need to watch to claim 100% of your village earnings.
During that same Monday, your village has watched thousands and thousands of ads which increase the amount of your village earnings to $50.
Because you watched 10% of your weekly ads, you have now claimed $5.00.
Tuesday comes and your village again watches thousands and thousands of ads taking your weekly village earnings to $100.
When you login on Tuesday, you see you have now claimed $10.00 where yesterday your meter showed $5.00.
This is because your village earnings have increased and you have already qualified for 10% of those earnings for the entire week.
By Saturday, you haven't watched any more ads yourself, but you can see that your village earnings are at $300 and that you have claimed $30.
Your claims have increased because you have already claimed 10% of whatever your village earnings are for that week.
As the village earnings increase throughout the week, so do your claims once you have watched ads.
You then watch another 20% of your weekly ads which takes you to 30% on your claim meter.
Now you see that you have earned $90 (30% of $300).
Each ad you watch allows you to claim more up to 100% of your village earnings.
But be careful, you may not have enough ads queued up for you in a single day to reach a 100% claim.
It is recommended that you login several times each week and watch ads to ensure you claim 100% of your village earnings.
If at the end of the week, you have not claimed all of your village earnings they are forfeited.
Don't miss out on money that is yours.
Login frequently and use the system to ensure you are claiming all your Varolo earnings.
Let's say that you sponsor a friend named Bob.
Bob sponsored several people including Nancy to join Varolo.
Bob decides he no longer wants to use Varolo.
Because Bob no longer is watching any ads, he is not helping generate earnings for your Varolo village.
Nancy however is still actively using Varolo.
While Nancy is 2 degrees of separation from you, when she watches ads, that money is still part of the Varolo village earnings that you can claim.
Everyone in your village that actively uses Varolo will help generate earnings that you can claim.
If someone in your village stops using Varolo, just that person stops contributing to your village but everyone else continues to contribute to your earnings.
The Varolo village earnings that Bob is choosing to not claim go into the weekly jackpot.
If Bob decides he wants to begin using Varolo again, he can start claiming his weekly village earnings but he will not be able to claim earnings from previous weeks.
The Jackpot
Yes.
Each ad you watch, even once you have claimed 100% of your village earnings gives you another chance to win the weekly jackpot.
The more ads you watch, the better chance you have to win.
Another option you have once you have claimed 100% of your village earnings is to change your reward preferences to charity and watch ads where the revenue that would normally go towards the jackpot will be donated to the charity you select.

Be sure to include your name, email address, birth date, full address (including country), and phone number.
Each post card received from a valid entrant, before the drawing or other cut-off period for entries set by Varolo, will act as a single entry into the Varolo Sweepstakes.
Some Varolo users don't yet have a large village or have no desire to grow a village.
For these users there is still tremendous value is using Varolo.
Remember, each advertisement you watch enters you to win the weekly jackpot.
The more ads you watch, the more chances you have to win!
There is no limit on how many entries you can have.
If you have advertisements to watch, each one will enter you to win.
It is like getting a lottery ticket for watching an ad rather than paying money.
Payment
Absolutely! There are several ways of making money with Varolo and best of all it is completely free. You can make money by winning the weekly jackpot. Each ad you watch enters you to win. Enter as many times as you want until your ad supply runs out. Remember to log in often because some advertisers only show ads once a day or at certain times of the day so login often to maximize your chances to win.
Additionally you can make money through the Varolo Village. The Varolo Village is made up of your friends, their friends and so forth up to 6 degrees of separation. Your village earns money that you can claim through watching ads. The more friends you invite to use Varolo, the faster your village will grow and the more money you can make.
The answer to this question is up to you.
There are no limits on the size of your Varolo Village therefore there are no limits on how much money can be made.
The jackpot grows over time based on the number of Varolo members so the jackpot gets larger over time and the frequency it can be won can also increase.
Getting paid by Varolo is simple.

According to the U.S. tax code, when any individual earns more than $600 in a given calendar year, that person must be issued a 1099 form so they can be taxed.
Varolo will not deduct taxes out of your jackpot winnings or your Varolo Village earnings.
For users that earn more than $600/year, they are entirely responsible for the taxes that are due based on those earnings.
Because Varolo must issue 1099s for users that have won or earned more than $600, additional information is required from the user.
For jackpot winners, prior to the user receiving their jackpot winnings they must provide Varolo with their social security number which is used to report to the IRS.
As annual village earnings near the $600 level, Varolo will require users social security numbers to continue to earn beyond the $600 level.
Users that fail to provide their social security number will forfeit all earnings and winnings beyond $600.
Users that win or earn more than $600 in any calendar year must agree to a background and/or credit check which will be used to ensure a legitimate identity.
Only users with legitimate identities will be able to claim jackpot winnings or Varolo Village earnings beyond $600.
1099 tax forms will be sent out annually within 60 days of the end of the calendar year.
Varolo users outside of the United States are responsible for their taxes based on the laws of the country they live in. Varolo does not report or send tax related information to international users or their respective governments. Users are encouraged to talk with their tax professionals about what tax responsibility they have if any.
Charity
One of the things we hear all the time from people is that they wish they could do more to help those in need.
However with hard economic times it is difficult for most to donate money.
It is even more difficult to physically help.
For example, there are many that wish they could help the victims of the Haiti earthquake, but financial donation is out of the question and they can't fly to Haiti and donate their time.
So what can they do?
Varolo!
Varolo allows users to watch ads on behalf of charities rather than applying that money to the weekly jackpot.
Essentially users are trading their time which gets converted to cash that is donated to the charity they choose.
To use Varolo to give to charity, change your reward preferences from the weekly jackpot to one of the charities listed.
100% of the revenue normally placed into the jackpot will be given to that charity.
Changing your reward preferences and giving to charity does not impact your Varolo Village earnings and when you are watching ads for charity, which still counts towards you claiming your Varolo village earnings.
It is the perfect way to give when you have a bit more time than money!
